The Austin Medical Research Foundation is pleased to announce that $400,790.48 have been allocated to support researchers in 2026. The list of successful applicants is attached.

The Austin Medical Research Foundation will support 15 researchers across the precinct including 8 from Austin Health, 6 from the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute, and 1 from the University of Melbourne. The success rate in each of these domains varied from 36% to 100%. To encourage early career innovation research, 2 applicants were selected to receive the 2026 Early Career Innovation Seeding Grants.

It was encouraging to see a diverse range of applications from different specialty areas across the Austin Precinct, and the Research Committee was impressed by the high standard of the applications.
